Academic Summer Passes BAC Interim Inspection with Flying Colours — Again
By Helen Lami
Academic Summer has been accredited as a British Accreditation Council Short Course Provider since 2010. That is something we are extremely proud of. In August 2022 we successfully completed our last full re-accreditation inspection, and in July 2024 we are delighted to have passed our interim inspection with no action points and no recommendations for the second time running. A really strong result that we are very proud of.
For us, accreditation is not just a certificate on the wall. It is a promise to every student, family and agent who chooses Academic Summer that our standards are independently verified and genuinely high. We care about quality and you can read more about us here.
For us, this is not just a tick in a box. It is confirmation that everything we work so hard to deliver every summer — the teaching, the welfare, the safeguarding and the whole experience is genuinely excellent.
Here are just some of the highlights from the report:
Leadership: "Strong and highly focused leadership that supports the continuous development of the provision and its quality."
Teaching: "Excellent teaching results in very high levels of participant engagement and progress."
Welfare and Safeguarding: "A very well-developed welfare and safeguarding system is highly effective in protecting and supporting participants."
Our Team: "The CEO and other members of the senior management team are well qualified and highly experienced. They clearly understand their specific responsibilities and are highly effective in carrying these out."
Our Students: "Participants report that they are very happy with their programme of study."
We have been inspected by the BAC regularly since 2010 and every single time we have met the standard. That consistency matters to us and we hope it matters to the families and agents who trust us with their students.
