CAREER PATHWAYS: GET READY FOR FUTURE GEN STUDY
Academic Preparation Summer Programme for Students Aged 14–17 | London Westminster
The Future is Yours. Are You Ready? Learn Differently. Think Bigger. Go Further.
The world is changing faster than any generation before has ever experienced. The skills that matter most today did not even exist ten years ago. The question is not just what you want to study, but it is whether you are ready for what comes next.
Get Ready for Future Gen Study is Academic Summer's most forward-thinking programme. Designed for tomorrow's learners aged 14–17, it is a modern, skills-based academic preparation that equips you with everything you need to succeed at A Levels, IB, Advanced Placement, foundation programmes or university study in English — wherever in the world that takes you.

Are you not sure what you want to study yet? Perfect. Future Gen Study is designed exactly for students like you.

WHAT WILL YOU STUDY ON GET READY FOR FUTURE GEN STUDY?
Forty hours of specialist learning over two weeks, delivered in London Westminster. Every session is practical, purposeful and built around the skills that universities, employers and the world actually need from the next generation.
Academic Skills for the Future Through a CLIL-based approach you will develop academic English fluency using real subject content, not just grammar exercises. You will learn how to write compelling essays, design and complete an independent project, take effective notes, build academic vocabulary and communicate with the clarity and precision that top universities expect. These are the skills that make the difference between surviving higher education and excelling at it.
Critical and Creative Thinking In a world where AI can find the answer, the students who stand out are the ones who can ask the right questions. Through critical thinking workshops, problem-solving challenges, creativity sessions and explorations of global issues and cultural awareness, you will develop the higher-order thinking skills that every ambitious student needs. You will learn to challenge assumptions, build arguments and think with independence.

AI and Technology for Learning This is one of the most important sections of any academic programme for students today and most schools are not teaching it yet. You will get hands-on experience with AI tools for writing, research and creativity, take part in masterclasses on the ethical and effective use of AI, and complete practical tasks that integrate technology into your academic study. The goal is not to use AI instead of thinking but it is to use it to think better and work smarter.
Debate, Public Speaking and Model UN Your ideas are only as powerful as your ability to communicate them. Through structured debate preparation, speech writing, public speaking and Model UN simulations, you will develop the confidence to stand up in front of a room, argue a case with conviction and listen with intelligence. These are the skills that impress at interview, at university and throughout life.

Leadership, Communication and Personal Brand Leadership is not a title, it is a way of showing up. Through group dynamics, collaboration challenges and personal branding workshops, you will discover your own strengths, build your professional identity, develop your interview skills and write your motivation letter for future study applications. You will leave knowing not just what you are capable of, but how to communicate it.
CLIL Subject Tasters Not sure what to study? This is your chance to find out. Through subject taster sessions in Psychology, Science, Business and Social Studies, delivered through the CLIL methodology, you will explore different disciplines, make unexpected connections and start to build a clearer picture of where your genuine interests and abilities lie.
Independent Project and Final Showcase Every Future Gen student completes an independent project — researching a topic that interests them, developing their ideas and presenting their findings to a panel at the Grande Finale. This is your chance to bring everything together, demonstrate what you have learned and leave with something tangible to show universities and future employers.
