Get ready for Medicine @home is a tailor-made 40-hour course covered over 2 weeks for students preparing to study medicine. Our interactive and inspiring course is designed and led by the UK and Canadian medical students who can teach and advise from their own personal experiences.

Get Ready for Medicine is accredited by CPD - Continuing Professional Development After successful completion of the three-week course you will receive an officially recognized certificate about your newly gained qualification - perfect to enclose to your university application to prove you are working hard towards your future medical career.
Thanks to the small group of students - maximum 6 students in one group - during the Get ready for Medicine @home course we focus on individual students as well as integrating elements of peer teaching and self-directed learning, which are essential skills in higher education. Students will enjoy this stimulating and immersive medicine online course covering intensive teaching on:
- Application process for medical school including interview practice, writing your personal statement, - UK and Canada Medical Admission Tests (BMAT and UCAT), - Clinical Relevance of Biology - pathogens and immune system, respiration and homeostasis - Research skills and developing your own research project, - Presentation skills, - Communication skills - Developing peer teaching and self-directed learning skills, - One-to-one session tailored around your learning needs, - Hot topic: Viruses & disease control
Our Methodology - Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL)
Enhance your content knowledge in the area of science and medicine in general.
Understand culture and your role as a global citizen, your beliefs and values so you can develop a reflective knowledge base. You will understand how culture, trends, and ethics affect the area of medicine.
Develop your cognition and higher-order thinking skills (critical, logical, reflective, metacognitive, and creative thinking) to prepare for your future studies in medicine.
Work on your communication skills in the English language. Good communication is crucial in the field of medicine.
You receive regular, detailed assessment to help you develop quickly during the course. We give you feedback on your personal and professional skills, your written work and practical application. You are assessed on academic performance and attitude towards learning in lessons and this assessment is documented in your weekly report. You are given an A-D grade with A representing excellent effort and consistent positive attitude to learning and D representing unsatisfactory effort and achievement. We celebrate the individuality of our students and their achievement is benchmarked against their own ability and goals.
Academic Summer @home has a great online leisure and social program. We enjoyed being creative planning this for you - we promise you lots of fun and interesting and challenging activities. You will make friends, learn useful things and develop your leadership skills. Activities will help you to be Creative,Active and offerService to others.

Fees: 750 GBP / 1200 CAD / 900 CHF per week (choose the currency you pay in)
The fees per week include:
40 hours academic study
Live online tuition with a tutor (Choose 08.00 to 11.00 BST or 16.00 to 19.00 BST)
Guided self-study tasks and projects to do at home
Small group learning – max. 6 students on MS Teams

Access to Leisure Online (Monday to Friday activities available)
