Get Ready for IELTS @home is the perfect preparation course for this internationally-recognised qualification from Cambridge Assessment, the exams division of Cambridge University - a placement exam that can be taken online.
This one-week course is equally suitable for students aged 15+, who are taking the IELTS Academic module or IELTS UKVI test before going to boarding school in January 2021, as well as for students applying to a top-tier UK university. The course also caters for people looking to get an internationally-recognized certificate to show their level of achievement in English.

Our course is an intensive 25 hour programme in small groups of maximum 4 students. You will cover the four areas of the IELTS exam, so you become familiar with all sections of the exam and what you need to do to achieve the best results. You find how IELTS is assessed and be given tips and hints to help you. You will learn lots of useful exam techniques to get you ready for the IETLS exam. Your tutor will give you self-study tasks and plenty of practice tests for you to do at home. Naturally, you will get constructive feedback and clear understanding what to focus on.

Methodology: Content & Language Integrated Learning (CLIL)
You will - enhance your content knowledge in key curriculum subjects and topics that often apear in the IETLS exams - explore culture to get in in small online groups - develop your cognition and higher order thinking skills (critical, logical, reflective, metacognitive and creative thinking). You will work on your learning and exam techniques to help you prepare for IELTS - Work on your communication skills in the English langauge. For example, you need to be able to understand what the questions is asking in the exam and have good writing skills to communicate the best answer.
