We are very excited to announce that our academic summer camp has gained award-winning status! Following our accreditation by the British Columbia Camping Association in 2018 – we have gained award winning status. We are excited to reveal Academic Camp Canada won the 'Rookie of the Year' award! As put by BCCA committee: "The award recognized the work that has gone into opening a high quality academic summer program and achieving accreditation in your first year of operating in BC".
Our Exploration classes will help you in grades 9 and 10. We develop your academic skills and we give you a strong foundation for your future learning. You will explore and discover the full range of academic subject areas including English, mathematics, general science, the arts, social studies and social sciences. More about Exploration classes
Our Engagement classes will help you in grades 11 and 12. You are ready to choose the subjects you want to specialise in and you know what you want to focus on. You will learn how to engage in the subjects and develop you critical thinking and become more independent in your learning.

We have prepared for you an unforgettable summer bursting with fun, adventure and equipping your skills that will stick with you for life. This is why our Be a Leader programme is filled with original trips and fun-filled, challenging and thought-provoking activities. We will show you Canada as you've never seen it before as well as showing you the top tourist must-sees. Every activity, trip, game and adventure will tie into your Be a Leader project so the final result will be inspired by your real-life experience. Whether you are a natural-born leader or someone that prefers to support the team in the background we will develop your skillset to help you reach your Personal Best. We will work together to discover and develop your communication, negotiation, problem-solving, accountability and presentation skills, so at the end in your pod group you are happy, confident and undertaking tasks you never thought yourself capable of. The cherry on the cake? You will receive an accredited CPD qualification to show the world your achievements.
Our campus on Vancouver Island is one of the best in the world. Located on the Pacific Ocean we the ultimate back drop of a summer of fun. We will have watersports aplenty - paddle boarding, kayaking, ocean swimming and lets not forget our Slip n Slide bonaza. Enjoy beachfront bonfires long into the evening where we share stories and sing songs. When we can tear you a way from the campus we will take you to the unforgettable Parksville Beach and Wild Life Recovery Centre, Coombes and Englishman River Falls, Shawnigan Lake, Cobbile Hill Mountain, Duncan (home of Totem Poles), Chemainus (city of murals) and Vancouver Island’s capital city - Victoria. To top it all off we will take you on a whale watching trip of a life time to watch humpbank whiles and Orcas in their natural environment - life changing!

Overlooking the banks of the Kennebecasis River, Rothsey Netherwood School gives us all the outdoor action we could want in this beautiful woodland campus. We will have bonfires, play slip n slide, go for hikes, forage and much more. Nestled an area outstanding natural beauty this campus give us the opportunity to take you on the most amazing of excursions. See the most extreme tides in the world at Hopewell Rocks, have a day of extreme water fun at Lily Lake. We will take you to Canada’s oldest incorportated city - St John’s and no trip to New Brunswick would be complete without a trip to Kings Landing. A highlight for many is our annual trip to the protected waters of the Bay of Fundy where every year whales go to raise their calves. Let us show you this amazing yet hugely unexplored part of Canada.

Be a Leader is an exciting part of Academic Camp Canada and complements our academic nature. Be a Leader gives you the opportunity to develop your leadership skills in a fun and academic environment. The 20-hour course is spread across the 2-week camp and you will cover vital skills required of a good team leader in small leadership pods with your camp counsellors. You will engage in team projects that link to the afternoon trips and activities. You have the opportunity to apply the skills you learn in a safe and stimulating environment before putting them to the test in your group project. At the end of the week you will present your project in our end of week celebration with your peers.
While taking part in Be a Leader, you explore the ‘real’ Canada, as well as visiting some of the most popular tourist destinations. You will see the best parts of your location and gain first-hand experience of what it is like to live in Canada.
This unique Academic Camp Canada gives you the opportunity to study a range of subjects in English, as well as enabling you to challenge yourself. Try something new and learn essential skills to shape your future and help you achieve your personal best.
