NEW location revealed in Ottawa, Ontario!

Academic Camp Canada is pleased to introduce a brand new location in Ottawa, Ontario. We are based at Ashbury College offering 2 week educational summer camp. You can join us for a two week Medical studies programme or two week Computer Science programme. Ashbury College is offering lovely campus with great sports facilities as well as modern labs and boarding facilities. Ottawa, capital of Ontario offers countless opportunities to enjoy your time in.

We are very excited to announce that our academic summer camp has gained award-winning status! Following our accreditation by the British Columbia Camping Association in 2018 – we have gained award winning status. We are excited to reveal Academic Camp Canada won the 'Rookie of the Year' award! As put by BCCA committee: "The award recognized the work that has gone into opening a high quality academic summer program and achieving accreditation in your first year of operating in BC".

MEET in Toronto and see Niagara Falls!

Academic Camp Canada is excited to announce that we are offering Toronto as our transfers hub for students to meet in Canada for British Columbia and New Brunswick centers. Students are able to arrive in and depart from Toronto where we will climb the iconic CN tower and explore Canada's biggest city! As a group we will fly from Toronto to BC or NB in time for the academic summer camp. At the end of each 3 week course students will have the option to return to Toronto to see the spectacular Niagara Falls

Our academic summer camp is inspirational, experimental, practical and learner-centred with a global approach.
You will experience progressive learning in one of the modern Brentwood classrooms, in our special lectures on Friday evenings or outside beside the ocean!
You will study in small classes where your individual needs will be met by experienced teachers.

Our Exploration classes will help you in grades 9 and 10. We develop your academic skills and we give you a strong foundation for your future learning. You will explore and discover the full range of academic subject areas including English, mathematics, general science, the arts, social studies and social sciences. More about Exploration classes

Our Engagement classes will help you in grades 11 and 12. You are ready to choose the subjects you want to specialise in and you know what you want to focus on. You will learn how to engage in the subjects and develop you critical thinking and become more independent in your learning.

At our academic summer school you have the opportunity to embrace our exciting and vibrant leisure programme to try new things, develop your leadership skills, become more confident and team up with your new friends from all over the world.

Explore during cultural visits to Vancouver,Victoria, Saint John and Ottawa, where you can explore the local culture and get those important souvenirs!

Embrace activities on campus including loads of different sports, ‘the apprentice’ themed challenges and bushcraft skills! We will both challenge you and make sure you have loads of fun!

Experience something different with our whale watching trips as you look out for orca whales, dolphins and loads more whilst enjoying our evening activities. 

Throughout our exciting programme of activities and trips you will have an advisory group. This is where you team up with students from all over the world to compete against other groups in fun competitions to win the advisory award! You will leave our programme as a great team player, with developed leadership skills and filled with confidence!

British Columbia - Vancouver Island

British Columbia is on the west coast of Canada between the Pacific Ocean and the Rocky Mountains.  Lonely Planet describes the area as being ‘wow’ - amazing and spectacular, shown in its amazing beaches and waterfalls.  You will be welcomed to the beautiful Oceanfront Campus of Brentwood College School. The location provides an experience like no other with our school overlooking the spectacular Pacific Ocean. 

New Brunswick - near Saint John

New Brunswick is on the East coast being one of Canada's Atlantic provinces. One of the first provinces in Canada, it is now renowned for it's forested landscape. You will be welcomed to our fantastic woodland campus being Rothesay Netherwood School. The campus gives a traditional Canadian Summer experience.

Ottawa - capital of Canada

Ottawa is a vibrant and youthful bilingual city, with two large universities dominating the city centre: University of Ottawa and Carleton University. As the capital city it boasts beautiful architecture a bustling downtown core and a diverse range of interesting neighborhoods. Ashbury College is located between Ottawa river and Rideau river in a beatiful, safe and green neighbourhood, short distance from the city center.

The accommodation is spacious and homely! You will share a twin room in a house with all of your new friends! There is space for you to unpack your belongings, meet your new house-mates and feel right at home.

Washroom facilities are in a close distance to all bedrooms. You will have plenty of room for relaxing with your new friends or making an evening snack.

You will share a room with two or three other students in bunk-bed style rooms. Each room has a desk for study, wardrobe and draws for your belongings. You will be in a house with all of your new friends whilst there is always a friendly member of staff closeby!

There is shared washroom facilities for everyone a close distance to your bedroom. Common rooms offer plenty of room for hanging out with your new friends, play games or having an evening snack.

You will share a twin room with another student. There is a desk for study, wardrobe and drawers for your belongings. Each room has it’s own en-suite washroom facilities.

Work for us

Academic Camp Canada is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects its staff to share this commitment.
In the summer we employ a team of teachers who are qualified to teach their subjects and have experience in teaching one of the following: A-Level, IB, Advanced Placement or TEFL. See this year´s dates.
As well as experience we are looking for teachers that have enthusiasm and a love for their subjects. We like our teachers to make their subject options interesting and the lessons will be a mixture of theory and practical work.

We also look for enthusiastic camp counsellors/camp leaders. Ideal for this role are active people comfortable leading groups of students through activities and trips. You must be flexible throughout our course and have a few activity ideas up your sleeve!

Staff can work from one to six weeks dependant on their location. Teachers can work one to four teaching blocks a week and there is the opportunity to take part in additional counsellor work. We offer competitive rates of pay (advertised in the job description).
